At Walking Free, we endeavor to make a lasting impact in the community and beyond. Our initiatives and activities are designed to catalyze true spiritual and physical transformation for individuals or families struggling with overcoming negative mindsets, relational issues, or just desiring to walk freer and closer with Jesus. Through interactive hands on theraputic activities, including walking with horses faith based equine sessions, pottery, art, gardening, and more, we walk with and guide hearts into freedom. Above all, our passion for our faith in Jesus Christ is at the heart and soul of everything that we do.

Faith Based Equine Assisted Learning
Transforming Lives
We see every challenge as an opportunity. At Walking Free, we walk with horses and interact, relearn to relate, and discover new solutions to inner struggles through our faith based equine exercises and BARNtime (Be And Receive New). Our amazing facilitators guide each participant as they walk together allowing the Heart and love of Jesus to reveal, heal and redeem.
Pottery in The Potter’s Shed
Empowering Others
Walking Free is dedicated to hands on theraputic activities. In our Potter’s Shed we work on the wheel with clay, molding and shaping earthen vessels. Our pottery facilitator guides your hands as you learn His design for who you are in His eyes. Beauty can come out of brokenness.

Feeling like there are countless pressing issues that no single program could make a marked difference? Our theraputic art program has proven to be a powerful tool for Walking Free to successfully serve our community and improve countless lives. Through our Gardening program, we have the potential to make real and positive change. Our garden facilitator can work beside you with hands in the dirt to grow and educate through living cultivation.

Transforming Teams
Request a group or team building session! We offer fun and effective, interactive and bonding experiences with trained facilitators in equine and or pottery combined sessions for tightening your business, pastoral, or social team or group. These fun sessions relieve stress and professional pressures and refresh all involved. We walk with the healing, refreshing Spirit of God paralleling biblical truth to relational wellness.

How You Can Make a World of Difference
Invite your church group or youth group to spend a work day at Walking Free farm. We always have fence and shed painting projects to complete. Our garden is a great place to get hands in the dirt and help clean beds, repair walkways, and play with our chickens!
From Idea to Reality: The Evolution of Walking Free
Walking Free began12 years ago when our Founder and President, Cat Smith, through a vision and personal encounter with the Lord, committed to moving forward with all the Lord had laid upon her heart to walk with the hurting and guide them into the love and mercy and embrace of Jesus.
This humble beginning started with a farm, one horse, and a deep desire to see healing and freedom brought to hurting hearts through experiential faith based activities : faith based equine assisted learning, pottery and art, and gardening.
Now, 12 years later, we have developed and enriched, healed and encouraged 100’s. We serve individuals and groups. We have 5 horses, 11 chickens, 2 barn cats, a full potters shed with 3 wheels, a vegetable garden, and a team of 12 incredibly talented dedicated volunteers and staff!
We are partnering with Amazing Grace Discipleship Ministries and look forward to serving the precious women they serve.
We plan to develop an art studio and dream of building a green house and renovating a rustic chapel on property.
Come walk with the horses, or sit in the shade of our trees and breathe. Peace reigns at Walking Free.
